Search, analyze, and visualize data from any source with frictionless Elastic integration from within the Azure portal is a very easy way to get an Elasticsearch deployment. Using Elastic Cloud via Azure Marketplace enables easy setup.

  • Activating Elastic in your Azure environment provides the following advantages for you
  • View and manage deployment directly within the Azure portal—and automate ingestion of logs and metrics with just a few clicks
  • Get added security and help eliminate data exposure using private endpoints with Azure Private Link
  • Take advantage of hybrid and multicloud capabilities—no need to change your environment
  • Maximize your IT spend with consolidated billing: Elastic charges accrue toward your Azure spend commitments

The following video show how to setup Elastic Cloud from Azure Marketplace and how to go the first steps within Elastic. After you have set up your cluster and activated the first set of integrations you can already use the Kibana dashboards that we offer on Elastic Content Share.

One of those Kibana examples you can download for Azure is the Azure cost analyzer vega visualization. This visualization helps to analyze the usage and costs of your Azure resource groups, Azure resource types and the Azure resources itself. By adding not only billing data but also usage metrics and logs you also get the ability to compare usage versus costs. This finally leads to the ability to find underutilized VMs and other resources which can save a lot of costs.

Elastic can help to observe many different aspects of the Azure environment as well as the apps you are running within this setup. It comes with Out Of the Box dashboards to visualize the monitoring data and also with Security rules to check for unexpected / suspicious behavior.
